Harvest Festival and Flames of Fall

Hello Parkview parents! It's that time of year again...the air is getting crisp, leaves are swirling down, and pumpkins abound...time for Parkview's annual Harvest Festival and Flames of Fall pumpkin display!

Our wonderful teachers will be running game booths while the 6th graders sell pizza and drinks to raise money for environmental camp. In addition, the PTO will be selling pies and our new t-shirts and running the Flames of Fall pumpkin display. This is a truly beautiful Parkview tradition - and this year we're having a pumpkin carving contest, so be sure to get your entries completed and dropped off at the school on Thursday morning!

With an event this big, we always welcome help. If you'd like to donate a pie or volunteer to help our teachers with their booths, just let us know. Thanks!

Meeting

Just a reminder that we will be meeting again next week on Wednesday, August 8th at 10:00 a.m. All Parkview parents and teachers are welcome! The meeting will be at Gina Snider's home (email for address/directions). Please feel free to bring your children with you. Kids are welcome to swim in the pool as long as they are safe swimmers with minimal supervision. We will be discussing fundraising for next year, parent and teacher PTO packets and Back-to-School-Night among other things.

Getting Ready

Hello parents and teachers, The PTO has undergone some much needed changes and is getting ready to start our new school year! We'd like to thank all of our volunteers from last year and encourage everyone to get involved again this year as we work to make Parkview an even better school. School starts again on August 20th, so remember to check your beginning of the year packets for more information from the PTO about this year's events!

Hello parents! Just a few quick reminders to everyone...

• Our monthly meeting is tonight, November 8th, at 6:30pm in the library. We hope to see everyone there!
• Cookie dough sales are due tomorrow, November 9th.
• The Turkey Feast is tomorrow, November 9th.
• Scholastic book orders are due Thursday, November 10th.

New Laps-for-Learning Total!

Wow!! With updated deposits, the total amount raised at Laps-for-Learning is just over $7,000! :-)

Also, the Rock-n-Pop recess and pizza lunch for lap winners and top fundraisers is scheduled for tomorrow (Friday) - so congratulations to all students attending and a big thank you to everyone who helped or sponsored runners!
